Polish Jewish cemetery director reconstructs records destroyed by Nazis

The story of Przemyslaw Isroel (or Israel) Szpilman’s efforts to reconstruct 250,000 records of burials at the historic Jewish cemetery in Poland has received extensive coverage due to a recent Associated Press report. Szpilman has so far reconstituted 60,000 records.
