I was saddened to learn of Dov’s passing as I have some special memories of him. I was learning with Dov 2 1/2 years ago, while I was studying at Machon Meir. I really admired his path in life and was proud to have him with me on my path to tshuva and on his way to joining Clal Yisrael.

What really sticks in my mind about him is what a soft-spoken good-natured individual he was. I suspect that he touched many peoples’ lives.

We hit it off easily, not just because we had a common interest in diving, but because his smile made him so approachable and easy to talk to.

I will just close by saying that he had a special Soul and the term Ger Tzedek is really how I remember him. I am sure he will be missed by many, Z”L Dov.
