Talia Klein wasn’t just an accomplished rider…she was also a “clothes horse”….she could put an outfit together and had so much class and was so chic that she reminded me of a young Audrey Hepburn, and I’m talking about her casual outfits!!
She loved books – all kinds – some that seemed beyond her age and yet it pleased me to catch her reading a “gossip girl” book once.
She had the greatest giggle, she loved just hanging with her mom. They would go for manicures, pedicures, massages. I asked her to get her mom to adopt me so we could be
sisters (I’m only 40 yrs. older than her)….ugh, I hate this world without Talia Stella….the pain is unbearable.

This is so tragic!
When I heard the news, I was in a local store and had to sit down. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. This was an amazing young girl!
She touched our family because our daughter rode with Talia. She would admire her and always had nice things to say about her. She looked up to her and admired her incredible talent and love of the sport. She was a true Champion! She respected the riders she rode against and had nice things to say about their ability as well.
My daughter was devastated and couldn’t believe this happend. She sat at the computer trying to find out as much as possible. I will never forget her turning to me to say,” I know it happened but I can’t believe it did”. I could see the fear in her face and the reality of life and how it can be over like that!
I just want to pass along our prayers to the family and friends who all will desperately miss this young girl. We think of her often and how she touched our lives. We hardly knew her. She was obviously a very special person that she could touch others the way she did.
The riding season is about to begin, we will hold her in our thoughts and miss her!

Talia, you were an amazing person you taught me so many things. You were truly one of my closest friends and you don’t know how much I looked up to you and how much you meant to me. I am always going to remember you in my heart. Everything reminds me of you and the fun that we had. You truly were an old soul. You had so many things set for yourself and I am sure that you would have achieved them. I know that even though i can’t hear your laugh you are always going to be with me, guiding me. This world is truly a different place without you. I miss you!!
